Just finished a 5.7 mile bike ride! Realized once I started the journey, that it takes a lot of pedaling to get down the street...lol...BUT...the walking that I did earlier in the week really helped me accomplish the task. Finished in 49 mins. If you weigh less than 300 lbs and you are sitting at home reading this...I hope I motivate you to GET UP!!! :)
again, catching up so I know I am late.. but yesterday I walked on both of my work breaks (for a total of 20 mins) and then when I got home I walked to my daughters school and back (total of 2.5 miles) so its a start. and yes! you motivated me.
ReplyDeleteWalking is a great fat burning activity. Make sure you invest in a watch that tracks your heart rate as you workout. I found that the heart rate needed for fat burning is much lower than it is for cardio. So if you are walking too fast, you will be more on the cardio side, than the fat burning side. For me, fat burning was a slow, steady pace...probably around 1 1/2 mph.
